Warranty Policy

All Quorum Marine & Electronics, Inc. ("QME") units are thoroughly inspected and tested before leaving the factory. Each unit is warranted to be free of defects from workmanship and material for a period of One (1) Year from the date of purchase. Should any problem develop during this period, contact Ocean Breeze for instructions. All units must be shipped to or brought to QME for Factory Warranty. If inspection shows that the problem is caused by defective workmanship or material, QME will repair (or, at its option, replace) the system without charge. Extended Warranty Available. Units / Parts are covered by a One Year limited In Factory Warranty

Factory Labor only applies to the first year of the Limited Warranty.

Coverage applies to original owner only.

All Parts / Entire Unit / System must be shipped back to Ocean Breeze.

Warranty does not apply if:

  • Repairs have been made or attempted by persons not authorized by QME.
  • Shore power voltage is either too low or high.
  • Repairs are required resulting from normal wear and tear.
  • Water supply is inadequate.
  • Pump damage due to it running dry.
  • The system has been abused, misused or not properly maintained.
  • Damage caused by abuse, impact, fire, lightning strike, or flooding.


  • QME is not responsible for operation of or damage to any A/C or refrigeration system when only part of that system was replaced by QME.

    QME is not responsible for any loss of business, damage to interior of boat, loss of flood, or insulation or repair charges.

    QME is not responsible for Installations.

    QME shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages from the sale or use of this product. This disclaimer applies both during and after the term of the warranty. WARRANTY APPLIES TO ORIGINAL OWNER ONLY. Any legal complaints must be addressed in Martin County, Florida.

Be sure to include a letter in the carton detailing the problem with your part. COD's will not be accepted. ALL RETURNED PARTS MUST BE PRE-AUTHORIZED BY QME. Unclaimed units will be subject to a storage charge.

    NO REFUNDS ON INSTALLED EQUIPMENT OR CUSTOM MADE EQUIPMENT. ALL SHIPPING FOB OCEAN BREEZE, STUART, FLORIDA. CLAIMS FOR EQUIPMENT DAMAGED IN SHIPMENT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER. ALL WARRANTY WORK MUST BE DONE AT THE FACTORY IN STUART, FLORIDA.



    Commercial Warranty

    For all commercial products, the following terms apply:

  • All parts and labor are covered by a One Year limitted In Factory Warranty. All Parts must be shipped back to Ocean Breeze.
  • It is strongly recommended that the new equipment be commissioned by a reputable experienced HVAC company.
  • Equipment not properly commissioned will not be covered under warranty if it is determined that the installation was performed improperly.
  • Commissioned equipment will be covered by parts only warranty. Labor must be performed by an HVAC service company. Alternatively, the equipment can be sent back to the factory for evaluation.
  • Labor outside the factory is not covered by warranty.



  • Warranty Shipping Charges:

    Items purchased from QME that were originally shipped from QME directly to end user within USA:

    During the first 90 days after purchase, QME will pay return shipping charges to the factory for those units originally shipped by QME to customer. If the claim falls under the terms of the warranty policy, QME will pay return freight charges to the customer. After 90 days warranty returns must be shipped prepaid. If the claim falls under the warranty policy, QME will return the unit freight prepaid. After one year, all freight charges for all warranty claims are paid by the customer.



    Items purchased from QME that were originally picked up at our location in Stuart and items shipped from QME directly to end user outside of USA:

    All warranty shipping charges for international sales and items originally picked up at our location in Stuart are the responsibility of the buyer.

    International Warranty covers parts only, shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Pumps are covered by one (1) year warranty by the pump manufacturer and are subject to their warranty policy. All Commercial and Industrial equipment is covered by a one year warranty unless extended warranty agreement is purchased. No exceptions.

    Returns made for reasons other than warranty must be made within two (2) weeks from the date of purchase and will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Freight charges will not be refunded.

    Returns must be shipped prepaid in the original carton with ALL parts included. Equipment must be in the same condition as it was when it left the factory. Refunds will be made at the discretion of QME. If customer REFUSES shipment, it is the sole responsibility of the customer to pay return freight charges to factory. No exceptions.

    For international customers, return freight and handling is the sole responsibility of the customer. Outside of the United States: Customs, Duty, Border tax, Brokerage, etc. is the sole responsibility of the customer.

    ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS ON CUSTOM MADE ORDERS. This warranty pertains to QME components. It does not warrant the suitability of QME products to other applications. QME does not warrant the installation of its products. Adequate cooling and/or heating capacity is the responsibility of the purchaser. QME takes no responsibility for component selection or sizing of units.




    For Chiller Units, the Following part of the OBAC Warranty applies.

    * WARNING


    It is the responsibility of the installer to check all work done on the Chiller Unit. Warranty does not cover installer abuse, or incomplete installation.

    It is the responsibility of the Installer to properly Ground and Bond the Chiller Unit according to Electric Code of the ABYC (American Motor Boat and Yacht Counsel).

    When charging the Chiller Loop, it is the responsibility of the Installer to properly mix the Medium for 33% Marine Grade Ethylene Glycol and 67% Clean Water.

    It is the responsibility of the Installer to remove any air in the Chiller Loop system via proper bleeding techniques and to confirm there is no air in the Chiller Loop.

    It is the responsibility of the Installer to confirm operating specifications and successfully test the Chiller Unit's Performance. Condenser Sea Water Flow Rate is 3.3 GPM per ton, minimum, 4 GPM per ton, In Through and Out of the Condenser Coil.

    It is the responsibility of the Installer to pressure test the system, 30 PSI to remove any excess of Air trapped in the system. All Ocean Breeze Chiller Fan Coils are Pressure Tested to easily withstand 35 PSI circulation of 33% Marine Grade Glycol and 66% Water. It is the responsibility of the Installer to determine if any part of the Chiller Loop must be replaced to prevent damage or leaks from failing Fan Coils, Plumbing, Pumps, Joints, Connections, Hoses, etc.

    *CAUTION: If Using CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) Piping, it is the responsibility of the Installer to confirm the use of PVE (Polyvinylether) oil in the Compressor. The Chiller Unit must be orderd from the Factory with PVE Oil charged when the order was made. If not, it is the responsibility of the Installer to inform Ocean Breeze of the CPVC Layout and either return the Chiller Unit to Ocean Breeze for Oil Changeout, or if capable, to chage out the POE oil for the PVE Oil on the field. Ocean Breeze is not responsible for Damage to Chiller Unit if not using PVE Oil when CPVC Piping is used in the Chiller Loop.

    Only Certified Technicians with experience in the Marine HVAC Industry may install Ocean Breeze Products.

    It is the Responsibility of the Installer to follow all the above for best performance, Ocean Breeze warranty does not cover intentional damage to the Chiller Unit due to Installer Negligence in following proper Procedure.

    ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS ON ELECTRONIC PARTS OR ANY PARTS USING ELECTRIC COMPONENTS.
